The Taranaki Taekwon-Do club is a group of martial arts enthusiasts who are very much focused on the Art of Taekwon-Do opposed to tournament which seems to be the normal in ITF Taekwon-Do today. The club was formed in 1993 by Neill Livingstone
I Dan and was a member club of ITFNZ (now itkd) until 22nd May 2006 when it was decided that the direction that ITFNZ were taking was of little benefit to the club. Not an easy decision to make but on reflection a very positive one. The club has developed into a great community asset that is well known throughout the region for its standard of Taekwon-Do, passionate black belts and being inclusive of all members regardless of age and ability. We celebrated 20 years of Taekwon-Do in 2013 and now we look forward to the next 20 years teaching Gen. Choi Hong Hi's legacy in the Taranaki region.
